What challenge will you take on?

In Arcadis’ strategy, sustainability occupies an important place. So it should come as no surprise that our sustainability services are experiencing strong growth! Product sustainability, co2 and water footprints, ESG Assessments, circular business models, ... there are many interesting challenges at our ambitious clients in Belgium but also internationally.

In order to further develop and implement these services, we are looking for a passionate Sustainability Solutions Project Leader: a generalist in sustainability with a broad interest and a technical background in product and corporate impact assessments.

Your tasks

As a born project leader, you will be responsible for the effective and thorough implementation of the project from start to finish:

• Outline the strategy and monitor the quality of the results.
• Determine and achieve the right objectives of the project.
• Supervise, monitor and advise a project team of junior consultants.
• Responsible for smooth and transparent communication with the client as SPOC.
• Managing the project planning correctly and punctually, managing deadlines and working towards milestones.
• Reporting and managing project budget.
  
  

You mainly guide our customers in LCA and CO2 footprinting projects. Depending on your interests and the needs of our clients, other sustainability topics may also come up: water stewardship, ESG assessments, strategy & vision projects, etc.

You will be supported in the projects by a team of junior consultants. Guiding these junior experts is part of your responsibility.

Moreover, you are actively involved in the sales process: you enjoy being part of the conversations with (potential) clients and your enthusiasm and expertise can help convince them to choose Arcadis.

You stay on top of trends and developments in the sustainability sector in order to contribute to the innovation of our services.

You help develop our services by working in international teams within Arcadis.

What profile is a great match?

• Master’s degree with an analytical approach (Bio-engineer, civil engineer, commercial sciences, economics, ...An additional master in Sustainability or environmental sciences is an important asset.
• At least 6 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of/experience with LCA (SimaPro) and carbon footprinting (GHG Protocol) is an absolute must for this role.
• Knowledge and understanding of ESG frameworks, water stewardship and experience with corporate sustainability (strategy building, vision workshops) are a plus.
• You excel at planning, managing and executing projects and strategies in a team environment.
• The ability to handle complexity and a flexible mindset are essential as a project leader.
• You combine an analytical mind with excellent communication and persuasive skills.
• You have excellent written and oral skills in English and one other EU language. Dutch and French are an asset.
