Affiliate Analyst

The Affiliates Business Partner’s team is integrated into the central Finance team, under the supervision of the Accounting Director. The mission of the team is to become the (financial) partner of the affiliated companies (BU) and to ensure (1) the correct integration of the existing (and new) BU into the Luminus financial reporting, (2) support the affiliates in its (financial) planning and reporting process with internal and external stakeholders, (3) to help Luminus in its acquisition journey, to make the post-acquisition integration goes as smoothly as possible and (4) act as an "horizontal" central point of contact, for affiliates related matters, for all division within Luminus (such as controlling, strategy, commercial, etc.).

Tasks

As part of the Affiliates Business Partner’s team, you will in collaboration with affiliates’ management and financial team. Among other you will assist the Business Partner Affiliates’ manager to make sure that financial reporting packages translate the affiliates activities and considers latest achievements. Your role implies working and collaborating with the central accounting and controlling teams:

• Act as a business partner and first-line controller
• Assists the affiliates during their quarterly / year-end close and consolidation reporting
  • Help to develop BU’s internal financial processes (work-in-progress, provisions, etc.)
  • Help the affiliates to develop / adopt new tool in order improve reporting process
  • Support BU during financial audit process
  • Support the Business Partner Affiliate team with its daily tasks
• Collect questions from affiliates regarding accounting matters (BeGAAP & IFRS) and liaise with the Affiliate Business Partner team and the GL / accounting team
• Support BU’s in integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Support proper integration in the PPA results into BU’s reporting (PPA remaining the responsibility of the central Finance team)
• Support the Affiliates Business Partner’s team with cash-flow related matters:
  • Support BU’s in the implementation and follow-up of Cash Flow evolution
  • Short Term Cash Flow Forecast required
• Support the Affiliates Business Partner’s team when challenging the affiliates financials
  • Understand, review, report and follow up of (monthly) quarterly reporting prepared by the BU, including KPI’s identified (where applicable)
  • Upon requirement, prepare ad-hoc analysis covering profitability, working capital, cashflow, etc.
  • Be solution oriented

• Master degree
• 4 to 5 years of audit / accounting / controlling experience (Budget, reporting and controlling knowledge is a plus)
• Both BeGAAP and IFRS knowledge
  
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• System minded (experience in ERP - SAP / Navision & Excel and BPC is a plus)
• Team-player
• Analytical skills & hands-on
• Soft skills: communication and listening are an asset
