Job Description

Arhs Developments is looking for a Project Manager with a focus on IT Governance for the European Institutions in Brussels.

The ICT Programme Office (IPO) follows the principles of sound ICT governance and project management enforced by the EC IT Governance and PM2 methodology and conducts:

Daily coordination of the ICT investments requests and their respective projects and operations,
Support to the IT governance units’ representatives,
Management of Governance for Information System MS Teams Channel,
Review and occasionally support the drafting of PM2 documents
Preparation and follow up of Web request forms,
Drafting of ICT projects’ opinions based on the IPO stakeholders’ and counterparts’ comments,
Maintenance of projects’ and information systems inventory,
Issuance of reports for the ICT governance, including the yearly ICT budget for the ICT Workplan,
Monitor the implementation of changes in the system.
Provide recommendations on suitable technical solutions.

The objective of the team is to ensure the proper implementation of ICT governance for all ICT activities and to assist the governance bodies to monitor the implementation of the ICT architecture and identify potential needs for evolution.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Register new ICT activities in the Governance system and update existing records when needed.
Undertake the tasks specified in the IPO process for each new ICT activity.
Review the content of the Project Initiation Request, Business case, project charter and Architecture Overview documents and suggest modifications and clarifications, when applicable.
Review the coherence of the ICT activities’ budget and FTEs indicated in the submitted documents.
Review the alignment of the proposed technical solutions with the ICT architecture and the centrale service catalogue.
Draft and review the Web request forms.
Interact with EC governance bodies.
Provide guidance to the IPO and the units representatives on the technical and management aspects of the ICT projects.
Elaborate and present statistical reports on the ICT activities to the Governance bodies (Executive Committee, Steering board (Directoire)).
Carry out tasks assigned by the Team Leader and/or the Head of Unit.

This is a dynamic and very engaging position, providing plenty of room for initiative and responsibility.

Qualifications

Your profile:
Expertise in business processes, communication and Information technology.
At least 3 years of experience with information technologies
At least 2 years with project management in an international environment.
Excellent communication skills in English and French (C1)
Motivated and service-oriented person able to work in close collaboration with various ICT services.
Excellent diplomatic, organisational and analytical skills,
Enthusiastic and proactive approach for resolving issues and finding solutions in a complex environment.
Good interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels.
Positive attitude to strategic thinking.
Experience with PM2, Europa Web Guide and advanced emerging ICT technologies and ICT safety and security is considered as an asset.

Be legally authorized to work in Belgium and not require sponsorship for employment visa.
