Your future job:

As an Associate Buyer in Melexis, you will develop, lead and execute sustainable sourcing strategies within a category in line with the global sourcing strategy. The goal is to strengthen the competitive advantage of Melexis focusing on balancing the needs of the internal stakeholders and building strategic relationships with key suppliers.

More specifically, you will:

• Ensure optimal sourcing decisions by administering a bidding process for the purpose of securing items and services within budget and in compliance with the defined requirements
• Ensure that the business consequences of these sourcing decisions are transparent for all stakeholders
• Establish sustainable long-term relationships with key suppliers by liaising between suppliers and Melexis stakeholders in order to ensure transparency on business objectives and capturing this in a contractual framework
• Develop a sourcing strategy within a certain category by performing cost analysis, scenario analysis, appropriately assessing the buyer-supplier power balance and forecasting impact of price trends on future activities

Your profile:

• You have a Master degree in in Economics, Commercial Engineering or Engineering
• ​A first commercial experience in an international environment is a plus
• You have excellent communication and negotiation skills
• You have strong analytical skills
• You are a continuous learner, energetic and assertive
• You promote a positive attitude, even in adverse circumstances, and you are able to make sound and objective judgments
• You are fluent in English
