In this role, you will administer compensation & benefit programs for a dedicated region within EMEA. You will also lead ad hoc compensation & benefits projects for the dedicated region. You will benchmark local benefits and compensation programs to ensure competitiveness to local markets, prepare analysis and recommendations for adjustments and new programs, and source providers and manage existing vendor relationships.
- Researches, analyses, and evaluates benefit plans and programs
- Assists in planning, developing and redesigning company benefit programs and analysing benefit costs.
- Administers the company’s benefit program in regard to plan options, policy features, enrolment and ongoing administration.
- Assists in development of benefits communication strategy including new hire orientation materials, ongoing employee communications and annual enrolment communications.
- Assists in management of third party benefit plan administrators based on established policies and practices.
- Assists in ensuring legal compliance with plan provisions for all benefit plans.
- Serves as point of contact for vendors and employees and is subject matter expert for employee inquiries on eligibility, coverage and other benefit matters.
- Assists with the annual renewal of Benefits in the EMEA region, seeking management approval where necessary and liaising with the appropriate providers and consultants
- Builds strong relationship with internal stakeholders including HR, Payroll, Legal, Procurement.
- Benchmarks established benefits to ensure competitiveness in local region.
- Prepares management recommendations for new benefits, sources providers and oversees implementation.
- Increases employee awareness and participation of benefits.
- Acts as coordinator between staff and third party providers
- Ensures EMEA benefits follow best practice and are compliant with statutory regulations.
- Ensures the smooth transition of benefits for any new EMEA acquisitions
- For new offices, assists in the timely set up of new benefits in line with local practice.
- Researches current market trends through salary surveys and new hire practices.
- Submits salary survey submissions.
- Prepares job evaluations for new and existing roles.
- Prepares analysis to support adjustments to location specific salary structures.
- Performs market assessments for ad hoc requests
- Prepares compensation recommendations for management, Talent Acquisition, and HR Talent partners for transfers, promotions, and new offers.
- Collects market data for annual increase process.
- Supports corporate compensation team in rolling out the Annual Compensation Programs in the region including, answering questions from local HR and management.
- Assists in preparing gender pay reports.
- Manages mandatory increases and coordinate adjustments with payroll
- Degree or tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years’ work experience in EMEA compensation and benefits area preferably within the global financial services sectors
- Specific experience in France and Belgium compensation and benefits including gender pay gap reporting
- Experience working with Works Councils
- Fluent French speaker
- Previous experience managing teams and delivering results through others
- Previous experience leading and implementing projects across a wide region / multiples sites
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, together with strong presentation skills
- The ability to manage and develop others and to achieve results through others, directing people effectively as they work and identifying the best people for the job
