Job Purpose

The purpose of the job is to provide global understanding of the deep interactions between components of New IPV (Inactivated Polio Virus) operational mastery: Process, Equipment, Automation.

The incumbent is responsible to lead and drive troubleshooting initiatives and process optimization projects.

The incumbent is an expert in the MPU to “connect the dots” between process and Equipment/Automation.

The incumbent will be accountable to insure early detection of technical issues (trend analysis) and lead investigations by coordinating all involved departments, to ensure performance of the manufacturing processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Leads and is responsible /accountable for troubleshooting diagnosis & actions (that can occur when there is production issue…)
• Leads process improvment & optimization (yields and debottlenecking) projects in collaboration with Operational Excellence, production, QA, PCS, TS,...
• Project manage business unit services, ensuring the project operation is meeting business needs.
• Identify the needs for change across the current end-to-end process, seeking to simplify and enhance customer experience.
• Communicating a clear vision to stakeholders, planning and prioritizing key objectives for the business.
• Gain deep insight into business and customer needs, benchmarking GSK verses the competition.
• Works with solutions suppliers to ensure continued performance and sustainability of the supervision and control systems (for example DeltaV); on the design equipment processes and solutions (including cleaning) to enable robust and reproducible manufacture of the product and execute new process validation.
• Develop the knowledge of GSK network on automated biological production processes (bulk); Increase knowledge and skills of self and MPU team with ability to coach, teach and develop.
• Support standardisation of manufacturing and analytical technology on site.
• Support technology transfer for respective products from R&D into Global Manufacturing & Supply and subsequent transfers to other sites.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Master in Engineering
• Approximately 10 years of experience (Operations and/or Engineering/technical Services)
• Fluent in French and English (written & spoken)
  

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:

• Technical expert in at least one dose/product form on site providing expertise in associated unit operations across site dose/product forms.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the dose form.
• Practical understanding of Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) supporting development and use of Product Control Strategies for new and mature products.
• Product Performance Monitoring / Technical Risk Escalation and maintenance of knowledge management associated with dose/product form.
• Technical Services knowledge (Clean and Black utilities, HVAC)
• Basic on Bulk Process
• Knowledge of Delta V and Siemens S7Training skills
• Influence skills
• Ability to work transversally without hierarchical lever
• Communication skills, internally in the MPU or externally (GSK network and stakeholders)
• Experience in production and/or inspection are a plus
