McDonald’s is the largest restaurant chain in the world and also striving to be the most people-oriented enterprise around the globe.

There are currently 101 McDonald’s restaurants in Belgium, run by 24 independent entrepreneurs (Franchisees). Because our business is growing fast-paced, we are looking for talented people to reinforce our head offices that provide support to all restaurants. About the job

The role of the Business Consultant is to oversee and monitor the consistent execution by the franchisees of the McDonald’s strategies and standards in order to enhance the customer and employee experience and to maximize sales and profit.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong working relationships with franchisees based on trust and mutual accountability;
  • Partnering with the franchisee to determine opportunities that improve restaurant performance;
  • Using key business metrics to analyze and optimize business results;
  • Ensuring franchisee execution and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and initiatives and develop action plans, milestones and timetables;
  • Providing coaching to execute various programs deemed necessary;
  • Examining and monitoring the restaurant’s profitability, strengthening P&Ls, identify sales boosting opportunities and implement various measures with franchisees to reach sales goals;
  • Assisting franchisees in developing and executing re-investment plans.

About you now

To be able to thrive in this role, we believe you need to master:

  • At least a Bachelor Degree in Business/Hotel/Retail Management;
  • 2 years’ or + experience in a field operations-oriented role within the food service industry or comparable multi-unit retail industry;
  • Business acumen including financial and analytical skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and French and a good level in English;
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills;
  • Experience with PM and excellent prioritizing skills to achieve business objectives;
  • Excellent assertive communication (clear verbal and written communication to all levels of both internal and external personnel) and presentation skills;
  • MS Office pack (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher).
