Business Development Associate

POLITICO Pro, POLITICO’s premium B2B policy news subscription service, is seeking a go-getter Business Development Associate who works proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development and achievement.

The BDA role is ideal for goal-oriented candidates looking to develop valuable sales experience. The position requires a highly organized and resilient individual who has excellent attention detail. The individual must be an excellent communicator who is adaptable and used to working within a fast-paced environment. It is essential that this person is able to use their own initiative while being a team player. A keen understanding of public affairs, government affairs, and communications is helpful.

This is a full-time, office-based position located in Brussels, Belgium and involves some travel around Europe.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify and contact prospective clients using both in-bound leads and prospecting strategies, including cold-calling
• Schedule quality visits with top-tier contacts through consistent and creative outreach
• Research potential clients to build a robust pipeline of prospects & identify key information to prepare Sales Executives for sales appointments
• Coordinate meeting logistics and prepare marketing materials
• Assist Sales Executives throughout the evaluation process to ensure prospective clients receive the highest quality service and have an optimal experience
• Provide client analysis & leads reports
• Assist with UK events coordinated by the business development team

What You’ll Need:

Required qualifications:

• 1-2 years professional experience (including internship/externship roles)
• A university degree
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong client service ethic
• Written and verbal fluency in English
• Proactive team player who can use their own initiative to develop a strong pipeline for the Sales Executive
• Performs well under pressure
• Able to prioritise and recognise business critical matters and multitask
• Flexible and adaptable working style

Preferred qualifications:

• Fluency in any other European language
• Interest in current European political and policy issues
