C# Software Engineer

About this job

As a member of our software engineering team, we look for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Our experienced C# software engineers will work in a professional, fast-moving telecommunications environment, applying their knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle. What you’ll do

  • Design, write and test code of applications for a telecom platform, based on functional specifications.
  • Optimize current processes with regard to performance and/or maintainability.
  • Contribute to technical documentation.
  • Take responsibility for project-based tasks focusing on any specific development stage.

About you

  • University degree or college diploma in computer science or telecommunications and/or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years minimum experience developing in C#; including RESTful services, WCF (SOAP), gRPC preferred; Git as source version control, TFS preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes and with real-time or near real-time high-volume telecom IT systems.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of quality, security, and data protection standards.
  • Hands-on knowledge of the latest’s .NET Framework/Core versions in C#.
  • MS SQL Server DB knowledge, experience with EFCore is a plus.
  • A good understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO, IoC, event-driven, multi-threading)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down the complexity and come up with creative solutions (thinking out of the box).
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team; eagerness to learn.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
