Job Requirements

  • Life Science Graduates
  • CPC/CCA Certification Mandatory
  • Good knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles.

Job Descriptions

  • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification) diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS (Procedure Coding System) codes to inpatient records based on physician documentation.
  • Review and code all documents for inpatient encounters, including surgeries, tests and diagnosis.
  • Apply codes, which classify patient cases into groups that are used for reimbursement.
  • Code records in a timely manner to meet billing cycles and hospital deadlines.
  • Ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
  • Accurately assign the correct Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) code based on the patient’s diagnosis, comorbidities, and treatments received. DRG codes are essential for hospital reimbursement and cost management.
