At Decathlon Belgium we are looking for a Sport Market Leader (Commercial Director) to reinforce the national Cycling-Mobility Market Management team based in Evere (Brussels).

As a Sport Market Leader working on the best user experience, you will be shaping the future of cycling and soft mobility in Belgium. Your role is to understand the market needs and create an adapted offer of products and services that fit the Belgian needs.

This role requires working with other sport market leaders, business owners, sales (stores) and central teams (marketing, digital, support, etc) to define strategy, requirements, and roll-out planning.

To that end, you will be in regular contact with the leadership team on roadmap updates and strategy planning.

Cross-team coordination, team spirit, problem-solving, data analysis, excellent communication skills (FR / NL / EN) and exercising good judgement under pressure are core to this role.

Key job responsibilities:

  • You are the voice of the Belgian customer in several target cycling segments, and identify how most customer value can be created, across the end-to-end customer journey with a strong focus on services.
  • You have strong listening and analytical skills.
  • You work with cross functional stakeholders to define a plan to deliver business profitability and environmental impact boosting our circular businesses.
  • You work closely with internal partners across EU and WW teams to identify synergies and projects to be scaled.
  • You seek out ways to automate and simplify manual processes in order to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • You energize our local sales teams thanks to your enthusiasm, positivity and proximity.

We are hiring candidates ready to work from our HQ in Evere, Brussels (hybrid work with 2-3 days a week in office Evere).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in FMCG industry or automotive sector
  • Passionate about cycling, soft mobility and education
  • Passionate about digital and technology
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player
  • Result oriented and pragmatic
  • Creative, you like to explore new ways of doing things
  • You work in a structured way and you maintain the helicopter view
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English is mandatory
  • Experience working with global teams
  • International track record preferred
