Job Purpose:The Compensation Partner, Europe works with the Director, Compensation Europe to implement innovative, competitive and analytically driven compensation policies and programs to support the compensation needs of the organization. This position requires both the ability to engage at a senior level as well as to ensure operational excellence. This person is able to solve complex compensation challenges and must foster strong cross-functional relationships. He/she/they have the combination of technical knowledge, business acumen, and are capable of effecting change in the organization
Responsibilities:
- Supports and contributes in the successful development and implementation of all compensation initiatives, including the international partnering with other Tech Data resources (internal and external) for successful worldwide/regional programs. (20%)
- Act as a compensation business partner, solution provider and advisor to business and people leaders by combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business and market landscape, and detailed analysis/modelling (40%)
- Maintaining global consistency of job evaluation system. Reviews and approves submitted evaluations for new and revised pay classifications. (10%)
- Conducts compensation training to familiarize HR employees with key elements of the company’s compensation programs, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring and training to HR, managers, and business leaders (20%)
- Leads regional compensation projects (10%)
- Minimum of 5 Years relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR or equivalent required
- Other Education / Certifications: Experience in Korn Ferry and WTW job evaluation methodologies preferable,
- Must have expertise in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, and must be proficient in PowerPoint
- Workday knowledge is a plus
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with all level of management
- High attention to detail
- Able to obtain, present and discuss information and recommendations that may be controversial in nature
- Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills
- Able to manage to deadlines and multiple priorities, work under pressure and handle confidential information appropriately
- Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
- Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
- Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
