Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance & Privacy (DG&P) team within the Data department is responsible for data governance policies and processes. These are intended to ensure good data management (quality, documentation, etc.) across the entire AXA Belgium organisation. This team is also entrusted with the implementation of regulatory requirements related to privacy and artificial intelligence. As such, it acts as an intermediary between various functions (Architecture, Compliance, Security, IT, etc.) and all Business activities.

Its activities include:

• Implementing a framework of processes and policies that ensure good data management (structured and unstructured) with respect to the Group standard and market standards as well as with respect to Privacy (GDPR), Data Governance and AI rules
• Performing the governance part of the locally defined frameworks (stakeholder management, coordination, control, monitoring, etc.)
• Liaising with the Security, Architecture and IT teams
• Liaising with and supporting the different Businesses in charge of cascading the defined processes, ensuring their proper understanding and assisting with their implementation
• Communicating with the different levels of management and governance bodies within the company
• Operationalising the Internal Control and Operational Risks programmes within the Data scope

In compliance with local and Group policies, the team contributes to the implementation of AXA’s global strategy.

Your responsibilities as a Data Governance analyst

Under the supervision of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and the Data Governance & Privacy manager, you will contribute your specific experience and skills to the Data Governance & Privacy. You will be required to:

• 
  Participate in the implementation of data management principles, policies, standards and guidelines with an initial focus on unstructured data.
• Monitor and drive mitigation actions (proactive and reactive).
• Serve as a data governance expert within the organisation and liaise with other departments to ensure that the goals and objectives set by the DG&P team are met.
• Drive the Data Management initiatives required by the Group or European and Belgian regulations (Solvency II, IFRS 17, GDPR, etc.) as well as those necessary for continuous business improvement.
• Support the Business in the proper application of the processes set up.

• Technical skills
  • Knowledge of data management tools
  • Knowledge of DAMA is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sharepoint, Power BI, (Excel, ppt) is considered a plus
  • Experience in identifying and monitoring KPIs is welcome

  • Capable of swiftly acquiring an in-depth understanding of new tools and techniques.
