Position: Data Warehouse Developer
Start date:15/01/2024 (flexible)
End Date: 31/07/2024, with opportunity for extension.
The assignment requires a commitment of 2.5 days/week.

Description:

The legacy CRM system is being replaced by a new IT platform. Alongside the new IT platform, there is also work being done on a new data warehouse. It will be fed by the new IT platform. The historical data from the legacy CRM system will also become part of the new data warehouse. The data warehouse developer is responsible for:
  • Loading parquet files from the Azure IT platform into the data lake (delta lake medallion architecture).
  • Translating legacy SSIS ELT to Databricks notebooks (Python, Pyspark, ...)
  • Guiding the choice of how to incorporate historical data into the new DWH: starting from the legacy system source data or from the legacy DWH + implementation.
  • Star modeling (nice to have)
  • Power BI reporting (nice to have)

Context:
The client works in a Windows 10 environment and using Microsoft Office 365. The client also has a data lake set up in Azure. The Data Warehouse Developer will be employed within the Data & Internal Innovation department.
