To strengthen our Development and Clinical Supply Team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Development Master Planner based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium

You like to work in an environment where:

  • You are accountable but not exclusively for the consolidation of the clinical plan of the dependent and independent demands of semi-finished, drug product (DP) and drug substance (DS) requirements for a group of products.
  • You will ensure for the assigned studies , management of the priorities and tasks for:
  • Semi-finished, DP and DS availability on time and in full for packaging operation at the packaging sites, balancing demand (and its constant changes) and supply and at the same time minimize and control the end-to-end supply chain costs to meet budget limits through the management of supply chain parameters (inventory levels, write-off, requirements frequency, safety stock policy, lead times, etc...).
  • You consolidate the dependent and independent demand for DP
  • You consider supply chain parameters (Lead-time, batches, safety stock, replenishment frequency)
  • You perform the cycle planning using supply chain concepts to guarantee bulk and DP availability, on time and in full for packaging operation at the packaging sites, balancing demand (and its constant changes) and supply and at the same time minimize and control the end-to-end supply chain costs to meet budget limits through the management of supply chain parameters (stock levels, write-off, requirements frequency, safety stock policy, lead times, etc...)
  • You will lead monthly consolidation meetings with GDSLs, development department and technical leads and provide Drug product validate forecast
  • You place and follow-up of bulk orders until they are released and delivered in the appropriate study packaging site.
  • You solve issues along the way, analyzing the context, proposing alternatives and reaching out to stakeholders to seek collaboration with the end goal on meeting customer’s needs.
  • You are in charge of updating reports and provide KPIs giving feedback to internal stakeholders (i.e. inventory report, DP allocation changes report, dependent demand, write-off projections).
  • You lead initiatives and projects to improve supply chain planning across using concepts and adapting to UCB.
  • You foster effectiveness, efficiency and encourage continuous improvements on business processes and SOPs by supporting or leading changes on those

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Education and Experience

  • You are fluent in English, written and spoken,
  • You have experience in supply chain planning
  • You have knowledge of office apps, advanced knowledge on excel and must have a process/result oriented mindset.
  • APICS – CPIM certification completed preferred and a minimum of at least 3 years of experience on demand and supply planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with an understanding of demand, supply & logistics.
  • You have a Supply Chain Expertise: you understand supply chain planning and distribution processes you are able to balance cost and service level either to internal customers and patients. You understand cause and consequence correlations between independent demand, dependent demand and supply planning parameters.
  • You are able to build queries, summarize data, compute standard KPI’s and presentations to different stakeholders
  • You have strong problem-solving skills, you tolerate risk and uncertainty, you understand the need for and support the process of change, you react to changing demands
  • You are disciplined, have a high sense of urgency and are a problem solver
  • You are able to create, follow-up and control a project plan. Lead project meetings and influence project teams to execute project activities to meet timelines while on budget limits.
