Background

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is looking for a team of professionals to support the operation and maintenance activities for their NATO Communications infrastructure (NCI) project. The NATO Communications Infrastructure project replaced a major part of the NATO General Communications System, affecting NATO sites globally. It provides a major upgrade of the wide area protected IP communications across the NATO Command Structure, NATO Headquarters and NATO Points of Presence in NATO Member Nations, delivering, Upgraded IP access and transport services across different security classifications with significant increased capacity, Quality of Service and traffic engineering capabilities and NATO Unclassified voice services.

Tasks

The individual would be responsible for the following:
  • Administer and configure and develop Monitoring tools (CA Spectrum - fault and availability,) for network supervision.
  • Cisco ISE (Security Compliance)
  • Configuration Management – HPNA
  • IP Management - INFOBLOX
  • Installation and configuration of CA PC (Performance Center)
  • Installation and configuration of CA DR (Data Repository)
  • Troubleshooting CA DR
  • Installation and configuration of CA vMTP
  • Installation and configuration of CA DA Data Aggregator
  • Troubleshooting of CA DA
  • Installation and configuration of CA DC Data Collector
  • Integration and configuration of all components (CA PC, CA DR, CA DC, CA DA) to form CA PM
  • Integration and configuration of CA PM with CA Spectrum as a data source
  • Integration and configuration of CA PM with CA Spectrum as forwarding events
  • Installation/configuration of CA CABI
  • Documentation of installation of all the CA PM components
  • Testing all components of CA PM to be working as per post installation procedure
  • Installation/configuration of CA Service Desk Manager
  • Installation/configuration of CA Process Automation Manager
  • Installation/configuration of CA Service Catalogue
  • Installation/configuration of CA Netflow Analyser
  • Installation/configuration of CA Application Delivery Analysis
  • Installation/configuration of CMDB and Configuration
  • Documenting all change activity, to include scope of works, risk assessment, test plans and fallback plans where appropriate.
  • Following implementation of changes ensure all documentation (LLD) is updated.
  • Automation of manual network infrastructure activities
  • Work closely with network engineers and automate repetitive tasks
  • Functional requirements validation testing

Education/Professional Certifications
  • OEM Professional certificartions in CA Spektrum

Professional Experience
  • Strong knowledge of all major CA Spectrum components
  • Knowledge of the Configuration Management Module within CA Spectrum.
  • Strong Networking Knowledge with the ability to configure Linux and Windows platforms.
  • knowledge of Unix / Wintel / Database infrastructure
  • Active Directory Integration and able to demonstration and understanding of any of the following VMware, AD, DNS and NTP
  • Have knowledge and experience of Network Monitoring systems such as: Spectrum CA
  • Experience with project related work streams and able to deliver to tight timelines whilst under pressure and able to answer internal and external customer question
  • Linux environment with RedHat and CentOS experience

  • Spoken and written English (3333, as defined in STANAG 6001)
  • Valid Security Clearance: NATO SECRET
