Division : Asset Servicing, New Issues & Reconciliation

Team: Corporate Actions Information

Euroclear Bank Asset Servicing Operations, and its 500 colleagues based in Belgium, Poland and Hong Kong, are at the heart of what is happening in the capital markets.

Whenever an issuer decides to raise funds on the capital market, it selects an Agent or a Lead Manager, i.e. financial institution to which it grants the mandate to place such instrument on the market, targeting the investors.

Our New issues teams act as a ‘gateway to Euroclear’, an access point throughout which issuers effectuate the connection with the investors base.

During the lifecycle of an instrument when the issuer pays some interests, dividends or reimburses the loan, our Income teams come into force and are responsible for the correct information provision and processing of such payments to the investors.

Should the issuer decide to restructure its debt, change something in the initial terms and conditions of the security, organize a meeting with all investors or merge with another company, our Corporate Actions teams will be actively involved to meet the issuers needs.

Our Taxes teams are also ensuring that all the fiscal regulations imposed on issuers and investors are properly reflected and reported.

Finally the work of all our colleagues is safeguarded by our Reconciliation and Investigation teams who ensure a daily reconciliation of the assets and movements performed by our networks of agents and clients. As we are in a world that is evolving fast we also have Business Analytics and Innovation & Transformation teams that help us going through changes and preparing ourselves for the future.

The operations family is responsible for therefore delivering cash or securities operations servicing clients and processing a range of highly specialized operations that require some research or investigation of information outside of normal procedures. They may concentrate on a specific aspect of the business ( transaction processing, asset servicing, collateral, funds, banking , reconciliation, investigations ...) and may also lead or contribute to projects or initiatives in the areas of operational efficiency, risk, quality, regulatory and strategy.


More specifically, our Corporate action department is in close touch with the market to inform holders community each time there is a relevant market event on their securities.

We focus on the lifecycle of a wide range of financial products like fixed income, warrants, equities, Depositary Receipts and Exchange Traded Funds.

On an daily basis, we act as a partner for global market players on both predictable and unpredictable events and from basic to more complex events.

Information team in Corporate action is responsible to collect all relevant information coming from various sources in order to set up events accordingly. They will be responsible as well for the release of such notices to holders community.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Role requires good knowledge of Bank products, services and procedures in the area of expertise.
  • Direct access to the function typically requires previous experience in Euroclear or in a back office banking environment.
  • Has reached a satisfactory level of polyvalence in most of the tasks and processes of the team. Is able to control adequately most of the processes and escalate when necessary and solve escalation jointly with the team leader .
  • Is able to deal with complexity and risky operations.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the team.
  • Contributes in problem solving sessions, raises gaps in working methods, reviews operational procedures in own area of expertise and may participate to projects or initiatives
  • Usually train and coach in some processes
Qualifications


Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in banking environment is an asset
  • Very good communication skills to ensure extraordinary services for our clients
  • Ability to pragmatically and efficiently resolve problems
  • Able to manage and resolve situations within established guidelines like escalations or more complex investigations
  • Adaptive and flexible attitude to varying scenarios and possible stressful situations
  • Assertive capabilities to foster efficient inter-departmental communication
  • Fluent proficiency in English
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Readiness to perform autonomously and lead or contribute to new and on-going projects
