The Global Finance Data and Analytics lead will be responsible for the company’s financial data strategy, processes and analytics initiatives. He/she will be responsible for modernizing and expanding the analytic offerings, skills and technologies at argenx. Key responsibilities of this role are: Defining the overall data and reporting strategy, drive initiatives to adopt of new data technology, data models, information processes and drive data awareness in the organization.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure argenx’s requirements are fully understood and the data is presented to the business in a simple and engaging way, whilst making insightful recommendations.

Roles and responsibilities
  • Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap for data, information architecture and data analytics that aligns with argenx’s overall vision, strategy and objectives.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the organization’s financial information architecture, as well as a roadmap for its future development.
  • Define, manage and advance enterprise information management principles, policies and programs for stewardship, advocacy and custodianship of data and analytics, in co-operation with the relevant stakeholders in the organization.
  • Act as a partner to the business but also challenge business requirements where appropriate and prioritise demand based on business need, with support from the Global Head of Finance Systems.
  • Oversee the definition and delivery of data governance approaches, principles and processes.
  • Oversee the approach and application of data quality principles, methods and processes to improve the quality of data.
  • Oversee the integration and staging of data, and the development and maintenance of datalakes, data warehouse and data marts, for use throughout the organization in close collaboration with BIS (IT) stakeholders.
  • Define, embed and drive financial master data management approaches, principles and processes.
  • Remain current on data analytics techniques and become familiar with state-of-the-art data management best practices and tools.
Skills and competencies
The following skills and competences are mandatory for this position:
  • Able to understand the business need / requirements and present complex information to the business in a simple and engaging way, whilst making insightful recommendations
  • Illustrated project management experience.
  • Broad experience desired in multiple competency areas of data and analytics delivery. Examples are data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, data standards, regulatory compliance and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Hands on experience with BI, Data Warehouse and ETL solutions. Knowledge of Oracle ERP and related reporting technologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technology skills across business, applications, data, and infrastructure architecture domains
  • Experience managing major data analytics initiatives and organizational information strategies
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work closely with and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Behavior & culture: Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments where s/he must tackle and solve complex strategic business challenges and issues, incorporating the newest ideas, technologies, and approaches to business. Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Fluent in English
Education, experience and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, data science, mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong experience with BI, reporting and data warehouse technologies, minimum of 10+ years in an consulting / support environment.
  • Biopharma or healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Finance / Accounting / Economics qualifications or relevant experience is preferred.
