The way we work across TUI Group Airlines is changing. Our goal in Ground Operations is to be a truly integrated service provider to the TUI Group Airlines. We are embarking on a journey to unite our Ground Operations teams, creating one cohesive pan-European organisation, driving harmonisation and best practice in what we do and capitalising on our collective size to deliver economies of scale, whilst fostering a common culture of excellence in quality and delivery.
The purpose of this role is to ensure continuing focus on the safety and compliance of TUI Aviation Ground Operations activities. The Ground Operations Safety, Compliance & Training Coordinator will manage the ground safety performance reporting, data and root cause analysis, non-compliance findings follow-up and production of management information to ensure standards are continuously maintained and improved on behalf of the Ground Operations management team including Nominated Persons.

As a Ground Operations Safety, Compliance & Training Coordinator you will manage and develop all safety and compliance data, analysis and activities within Ground Operations. You will manage, create, align and improve management information including reports and dashboards produced to report all supplier, customer and operational data and analysis with specific emphasis on Ground Operations Safety, Compliance and Ground Service Provider Performance.- You will also be responsible to ensure the right training within the ground operations team is provided for all functions to be compliant with all necessary legislation.
- You will perform analysis to detect operational and performance related trends at all airports to enable strong oversight and support safe and compliant operations with Ground Service Providers.
- You are responsible for determining the root causes of operational and Ground Safety related issues and investigate appropriate remedies for effective corrective and preventive actions. You will proactively manage the departmental self-assurance activity ensuring accurate and optimal processes, procedures and manuals are in place and adhered to across the Ground Operations Team.
- As a Ground Operations Safety, Compliance & Training Coordinator you will also establish a positive working relationship with the colleagues within the Ground Operations Network team to deliver standardization and consistent focus across the TUI Aviation Regions.
- You are responsible for the administration and accurate recording of all safety related reports and audits within the relevant systems and delivery of all Ground Operations reports, analysis and data as required for regulatory, safety and compliance action groups. You will monitor regulatory changes, information and industry best practice to ensure safe and compliant Ground Operations throughout all policies, procedures and manuals.
- You provide dedicated safety and compliance support and oversight across all Ground Operations activities in the different regions and the respective destination airports whilst working cross functionally with the wider Ground Operations Network Team.
- In case of DOG (Damage On Ground) incidents, you will give support when needed to the applicable Station Account Managers in collecting all known facts and data and defining a short-term action plan. The applicable Station Account Managers will report this to the applicable Region Manager and Nominated Person. You will take ownership of the long-term investigation and issue a final report with suggestions for mitigation.
- You will support the Network Manager in assisting the Nominated Postholders for the different Airlines with regulatory responsibilities by ensuring a clear oversight of all safety and compliance requirements across Ground Operations in these regions.
- You will participate in operational On-Call and Emergency Response (ERP) rosters as required.
- Finally, you will undertake projects and any other reasonable tasks as and when required by the business.

Knowledge of Ground Handling procedures and processes is essential.- Experience working in a regulated environment, and the ability to provide guidance and monitor consistency in relation to safety & compliance
- A good knowledge of English & Dutch is required, knowledge of other languages is desired but not essential
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work comfortably across cultures and markets
- Able to balance multiple tasks in a time sensitive way, ensuring service standards are not compromised when meeting challenging deadlines
- An effective and energetic team member, working with colleagues to deliver consistent solutions to multiple customers
- A pro-active individual, who invests in stakeholder relationships, and ensures delivery to requirements, relying on team support where appropriate
- Shows aptitude and desire to keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments; understands how changes outside TUI can affect local technical requirements in the airlines
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
- Be willing to travel overseas when required
