The work schedule for this position is Full Time (38 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (15 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Acts as the deputy Make Ready Coordinator and implements all work necessary to prepare vacant housing units for occupancy with the Tri-Mission’s approximately 260-unit residential housing program. Incumbent serves on a cross-functional Make Ready Team to coordinate seamless transitions for departing and incoming officers and families. Serves as the Assistant Contracting Officer’s Representative for all make ready contracts, arranges payment to contractors and vendors, overseas the appropriate scheduling, and other administrative tasks associated with the contracts. Conducts pre-check out inspections to ensure timely completion of the pre-departure and make-ready and processes.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: Two years of customer service work in a governmental or large private organization required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to pass the Contracting Officer’s Representative exam and serve as A/COR on heating oil contracts.
Must have the ability to track spending on both contracts and BPAs and work with Finance to insure both are funded at the appropriate levels.
Must have knowledge, or be able to research and learn, basic housing/building standards in Brussels and Belgian lease regulations.
Must have above good knowledge of, or be able to learn, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and database operations, internet.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of the road systems, local customs and regulations for the Brussels Region and surrounding communes, Antwerp.
Must be willing and able to work extended and unusual hours to include weekend, evening and holidays in support of Make Readies and VIP Visits.
High school diploma.
LANGUAGE: Fluency in English. Good working knowledge in French or Dutch.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic keyboard skills and computer literacy on a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office and Post-specific databases required. Must be observant, flexible, and service oriented, and display tact, calmness and courtesy in dealing with unusual and difficult situations. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and know when to refer issues to management. Must have the ability to negotiate, converse and resolve issues with contractors and colleagues. Must have a valid driver’s license B and be willing to drive in Belgium. Must be able to lift welcome kit boxes and small pieces of furniture.
