Your role & responsibilities

As an HR Business Partner, you are a partner of the HR team and the business to help shape the HR policy and recruitment for workers based on the needs and expectations of ECS.

  • You listen to the needs of your internal customers, you take note of their activities and development, and you act as a sparring partner.
  • You are the point of contact for various questions from employees and managers.
  • You support change in the organization from your specific HR expertise.
  • You ensure fast, smooth and efficient recruitment: you screen the CVs, conduct the first interviews and follow up the further process together with the business and you communicate correctly both with the candidate and with external partners.
  • You maintain contacts with temporary employment offices and other recruitment partners, you participate in job fairs, school events and meet & greets and you take initiatives for further expansion of recruitment channels.
  • You map out the competencies of the employees and ensure that people, provided they have the right training and resources, can perform their job optimally and develop further.
  • You guide the internal rotation.
  • 1 day a week you are a business partner in Dourges (French warehouse site) (mainly blue collars and a few white collars) and we therefore provide a company car in your package.
  • You draw up contracts and take care of the onboarding administration.
  • You work closely with your colleagues in HR, with the other business partners as well as with payroll colleagues and you report to the CHRO.

Location

Varying locations between Baron de Maerelaan, Karveelstraat and Lanceloot Blondeellaan, in Zeebrugge (these warehouse sites are within a distance of a few kilometers).
1 day a week Dourges (Fr).

Your profile

The following qualities describe you:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in HR-related direction or equivalent with experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR function
  • You are an excellent communicator
  • You speak and write Dutch, English and French well, or are willing to learn this quickly
  • Being able to handle social media smoothly is not a must, but it is an extra asset
