Function
Your key responsibilities as Human Resources Manager:
- Key Role for CEMR’s growth: This position is pivotal in driving CEMR forward, and working closely with the Secretary General means you’ll be at the very heart of it.
- HR Policies: Take ownership and shape our HR policies, ensuring they reflect our commitment to excellence.
- New Role Creation: Work hand-in-hand with Department Heads/Directorsto craft job descriptions for exciting new roles within the organization.
- Talent Acquisition: Be the driving force behind our talent acquisition, leading hiringefforts, negotiating employment contracts, and creating seamless onboarding experiences.
- Compliance Expertise: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and CEMR’s own rules and HR procedures, all in collaboration with our legal experts.
- Performance Reviews: Design performance reviews and provide invaluable support to Department Heads/Directorsas they guide our team to success.
- Staff Wellness: Take charge of staff wellness initiatives, working closely with the Office Manager and other people of trust to ensure our team’s well-being and positive working relationships.
- Staff Records and Benefits: Maintain staff records and handle employee benefits, enhancing our employees’ experience.
- Training: Research and coordinate trainingprograms and follow-ups, keeping us up to date.
- Conflict Resolver: Be the go-to personfor addressing employee grievances and disputes with fairness and empathywhilst also demonstrating the capacity to take difficult decisions when necessary
- Visionary Support: Play a vital role in supporting CEMR’s vision, mission, and values, making them an integral part of our work culture.
- Positive Atmosphere Cultivator: Foster a positive working environmentwhere motivation and support for our current staff are at the forefront.
Profile
- Seasoned HR Expert: You can bring a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in Human Resources.
- Labour Law: Possess sound knowledge of human resources management and labour law in Belgium, ensuring our practices are always compliant.
- Impactful Communicator: Showcase excellent interpersonal and communication skills, crucial for effective collaboration.
- Leadership: Exhibit strong supervisory and leadership skills, with a proven track record in team management.
- Meticulous: Be detail-oriented and highly organized ,ensuring quality and the meeting of deadlines.
- Solution oriented: Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, essential for navigating complex HR scenarios.
- EU Insight: Familiar with the European institutions’ microcosm, helping us navigate this unique landscape.
- Languages: Possess excellent written and spoken English, along with good spoken French.
- Team Player: Embrace a strong team spirit, proactiveness, and a good sense of humor– these qualities will set you apart.

- salary with additional benefits such as 100 € net Teleworking allowance, Luncheon Vouchers, 8€, Ecocheques, 250€/year, Hospitalisation insurance and part of the Public Transport reimbursement.
- Option of 3 days per weekteleworking(after the initial 6 weeks in the office) and the possibility to telework from abroad for 30 days /year.
- 38-hour workweek and 30 days holiday.
