We’re on the hunt for an exceptional Information Security & Compliance Officer for a leading firm in the construction materials sector.

Based in the thriving region of Nivelles, we represent an innovative firm in the construction industry, employing a team of over 2,200 talented individuals across 80 locations in Europe. Our partner is renowned for their comprehensive expertise in cement, aggregates, and concrete, and for fostering a sustainable and forward-thinking work environment.

Responsibilities

Policy management: collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams to review and update IT and data management policies. Ensure policies are relevant, accessible, and align with the group standards.

Compliance monitoring: develop new methods for monitoring compliance with internal policies and group information security directives.

Documentation and analysis: periodically review and update the IT asset risk register to reflect changes in the IT landscape, emerging threats, and resilience measures.

Project ownership: lead and support information security projects, including business continuity planning (BCP) and data migrations. Provide input on architecture, process, and communication.

Certification and audit: contribute to measures ensuring adherence to recognized information security standards (e.g., NIST). Support compliance with legislative norms (e.g., NIS-2) and work with auditors on information security topics.

Profile

  • Degree in IT or equivalent qualification
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with basic project management tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Capability to challenge business processes constructively and explain the necessity for policies and standards convincingly
  • Willingness to travel within the Benelux region, approximately 20% of the time
