You will be able to work in different high-end tech teams who share the same vision of how a smart building should look like and how it supports the building occupants and a sustainable environment.The tasks we have in mind are therefore split up in 2 categories:
  • Smart building management system
  • Sustainability & energy efficiency
You will get a training in the building management system and have access to the e-learnings (Sustainability School).In detail:
  • Building management system
You will work in the Digital Building team of Engineers occupied with programming, commissioning and maintenance services of the building management system called Ecostruxure Building Operation.
  • Support on various engineering tasks like alarm text translations, corrections
  • Check on functional description
  • Remote programming of alarms, trendlogs and images
  • Support on points list
  • Support on topology creation
  • Remote commissioning, audits and reports
  • Support on on-site testing - IO points check-out
  • Perform monitoring checks on BMS infrastructure
  • Analyse BMS fault detection diagnostics and act on tasks in support of engineering
  • Enery efficiency support
  • Duplication of the process for valves and encoding of information for BNP
  • Sustainability & energy efficiency
During the development of these tasks, you will understand what makes a building ’smart’. You will work with different Schneider departments, each focusing on a business solution. You will gather Schneider Electric solutions in order to design a Smart Building.You can count on a lot of research & e-learning material, published by the Schneider Sustainability School (online).
  • Support in development and updating of the Smart Building documents for the building’s life cycle: vision document, solution focused prescription, topologies.
  • Support in creating an overview of the relevant sustainability certifications and their differences i.e. BREEAM, WELL, SmartScore, SRI.
  • Support in creating an overview of government subsidy initiatives in the different Belgian regions.
  • Creation of a matrix that enables Schneider to classify the best Schneider solution. The inputs are the type & size of a building and the energy conservation measures advised by the Energy Maturity Assessment.

  • You are a Bachelor or Master student
  • You are interested in building automation
  • You can follow processes and work with demanding deadlines
  • You are methodical, rigorous, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels
  • You are a team player and able to work independently
  • Preferably you are based near Brussels
  • You have a proactive and open-minded personality with a passion for international teamwork.
