The Cross Border Fines (CBF) service was established within the framework of the European Directive (2015/413) of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union of 11 March 2015 to make it easier for citizens, organizations and government institutions to exchange information across borders on road safety violations. Tasked with coordinating, supporting, optimizing and digitizing the transversal processes related to the traffic and correctional fines. A cooperative approach is paramount in combination with a multidisciplinary team of Attorneys, Secretaries, IT as well as other government services such as FOD Finance and FOD Mobility with strong expertise and attention to citizens.

An integrated approach makes it possible to implement the digitization and transformation route to be realised. With the aim of improving the company’s critical processes (management of files, the determination of to the recovery of fines) and focus on the core tasks of the actors by reducing the administrative workload.

IT Support Software Test Engineer

We are currently looking for 2 functional software test engineers to perform functional tests based on the functional description of the software to assess its quality review and detect possible errors. This involves testing a (preliminary) described situation. The functional tester is responsible for the entire testing process, preparing, executing, following up and closing the following types of tests: Smoke testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, Acceptance testing

Experience/skills

• Education in computer science or equivalent through experience in a similar position

• 2-3 years of knowledge and experience as a software tester

• Familiar with testing methodologies and best practices (ISTQB, TMAP, STBOX, …)

• Good knowledge of JIRA and Confluence or other similar tracking and documentation tools.

• Thorough knowledge of Dutch or French and English

• Environment in which the business processes need to be validated: Oracle, Drupal

• (Website) and integrations with third parties outside your own organization via web services and APIs.
