Home Invest Belgium is a market leader in the development and management of affordable rental housing in Belgium. With over 2,500 units in our ever-expanding portfolio, we provide stability, quality, and professionalism to our tenants.

To support the continued growth of our organization, we are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel:

Your Role:

Support in Acquisitions of Assets or Shares:

• Drafting letters of intent and offers
• Conducting due diligence on acquisitions (property deeds, lease agreements, permits, etc.)
• Assisting in structuring transactions
• Drafting/reviewing acquisition agreements for assets or shares

Support to Internal Operational Departments:

• Drafting/reviewing residential and commercial lease agreements, business rights contracts
• Drafting/reviewing construction contracts and framework agreements
• Drafting/reviewing notarial deeds
• Reviewing sales agreements and deeds of sale
• Providing assistance in case of disputes

Corporate Aspects:

• Acting as secretary for the Board of Directors and General Meetings (including subsidiaries)
• Drafting and managing powers of attorney and mandates
• Reviewing financing agreements
• Assisting in mergers and capital increases
• Handling legal matters related to listed companies (transparency, shareholder registry, market abuse, etc.)
• Supporting the drafting of communication materials for the REIT (press releases, annual reports, semi-annual reports)
• Liaising with the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA)
• Monitoring regulatory developments specific to REIT activities
• Selecting, overseeing, and coordinating external law firms for specific matters

Your Profile:

• Law degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm
• Fluent in French and Dutch, with a good working knowledge of English
• Strong understanding of real estate law
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Detail-oriented, organized, and pragmatic
• A team player who is proactive and eager to support colleagues
• Interest in the real estate sector
