The CompanyOur client is the world’s leader in the development and production of valves, application tools and accessories for 1K-PU foam (1 component PU foam) in pressurized cannisters. In 2023, the company has been recognized as a ‘Factory of the Future’. The site utilizes technology throughout the plant, ranging from the latest ERP system to ensure a paperless shop floor to testing and implementing AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles) to improve efficiency in production.The functionFor the plant located in Gent, they are looking for a Junior Process Engineerwho will be responsible for process design, operation and implementation. The person will be also able to improve the client’s processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.Your ResponsibilitiesYour main responsibilities are:
  • You will collect and interpret test data to identify problems, optimize processes and drive continuous process improvements.
  • You will coach production staff in new process developments/adjustments.
  • You will support daily activities in production (e.g., troubleshooting).
  • You will work closely with the R&D department on the development and industrialization of new products (end-to-end engineering).
  • You will be responsible for the planning and the implementation of safety programs.
  • You will participate in operational group and team activities.
  • You will report to the Operations Manager.
Your profile
  • You possess a degree in Engineering (EM/automation).
  • You have an eagerness to learn and a go-getting approach. You like thinking outside the box, taking the initiative and putting both yours and company’s growth first.
  • You have a hands-on, dynamic, mature and result-oriented attitude.
  • You have excellent project management skills. You respect deadlines and are comfortable taking responsibility.
  • In addition, you will be a real team player, appreciating a positive and fun team spirit.
  • You will be a good communicator and fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Having knowledge of French and German is an advantage for this role.
