About Our Client

The company is an international broker that acts as an independent sales & marketing organization for "fast moving" consumer products (FMCG).

On behalf of their clients (international A-brand manufacturers) and through excellent contacts with both Retail and Out of Home, they take care of the supply chain, marketing and commercialization of various brands.

The group manages about 100 brands in Food and Non food and has a turnover of €300 million and a total of 250 employees.

In the company environment, they work closely with they customers brand owners (our principals) on the one hand, and their end customers in Retail, Drug, e-commerce, Foodservice & Impulse, on the other. They have a Full Service approach to (trade) marketing, commercialization including supply chain in many categories including strong brands.

Their group has experienced strong growth year after year and in this context they want to further professionalize the organization in order to develop our "Family Business" in a future-proof way.

Job Description

They Key Account Manager will be in charge of the following responsibilities :

  • Focus on on Personal Care brands and Parapharma
  • Managing your customer portfolio including the Drugstores, Pharma and e-commerce distribution channels in Belgium
  • Monitoring your sales and distribution achievements, both centrally and with the team of representatives
  • Negotiating independently with your customers
  • Understand and quantify the impact of negotiation decisions on the P&L of your brand
  • Create strong partnerships with your customers, with a focus on growth
  • Feeding the sales forecast with your realized customer agreements
  • Working closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing and Field Team to realize the best possible in-store execution for your products and promotions
  • Ensuring together with marketing that the online shops are up to date and you share your learnings in e-com with the wider organization
  • Reporting to the Group Account Manager

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in one (or more) of the following areas: FMCG Key Accounting, Procurement or Category Management, Account Manager in Pharma, e-commerce sales
  • You have a strong interest in e-commerce
  • You have an analytical mind and can work well with Excel
  • You have a positive drive and are determined, independent and mature to manage your own tasks, but also like to contribute to the atmosphere in our Team
  • Mental flexibility is in your DNA so you can set the right priorities in the various distribution markets
  • You enjoy managing a broad scope of activities: multiple clients, multiple brands, multiple distribution channels (retail, drug, e-com)
  • Your mother tongue is Dutch or French, but you are fluent in other national languages (NL/FR) and you have a good knowledge of English
