Key Responsibilities

Within the Operations Team in Kortrijk we are looking for a Logistic Buyerwho will contribute to the manufacturingof our state of the art Barco products, from top-of-the-line healthcare monitors to the most advance laser projectors on the market today.

As a logistic buyer, you are an essential part of the supply chain and you have an important role in the timely and correct supply of goods and services for our Operations.

In This Role
  • You translate the Demand Plan (for purchasing goods) into a Supply and Inventory Plan.
  • You are responsible for a portfolio of suppliers and you have ownership over the operational purchasing process.
  • Based on our planning requirements, you place purchase orders with a realistic delivery commitment from suppliers and ensure delivery by close follow up. (critical, non confirmed orders, overdue, ...)
  • You act as the Barco representative towards the supplier in case of anomalies such as inferior quality, late confirmations, overdue deliveries and payment issues.

Your Profile
  • You have a higher education degree (short or long type)
  • You have good communication skills in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • You are a good negotiator and you work towards solutions
  • You have a keen interest in planning and purchase administration and show flexibility, responsibility, initiative and team spirit
  • You know how to work with Outlook, Excel, Word, ...
