The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer position at Solventum Peer is a 100% FTE onsite position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing quality engineering and systems support for all processes related to the Quality Management System at KCI’s manufacturing facility in Belgium.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role

• Selects appropriate techniques for problem solving and makes solid and consistent Engineering and Quality Assurance recommendations.
• Demonstrates and actively promotes highest levels of professional QA engineering discipline and rigor.
• Familiar with risk management and validation engineering techniques.
• Champions continuous improvement and innovation from a quality perspective.
• Is an effective team member, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the company policy and the company objectives.
• Supervises and provides technical guidance to Quality Operators en Technicians.
• Executes change requests and manages the document flow.
• Timely evaluation of product nonconformance and process nonconformance in collaboration with the relevant department leads.
• Completes appropriate documentation and supports the archive of documentation per procedures.
• Correct documentation of the process and quality data in DHR according to applicable GDP requirements.
• Responsible for material release and product release
• Strict adherence to hygiene and safety instructions and to care for personal clothing hygiene and personal protection equipment.
• Actively participates in any and all work activities (e.g. trainer, training administrator, auditor, back-up role in physical and chemical product testing) assigned by management.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Degree in Quality, Engineering, Science or related subject
• A minimum of 2 years industry experience. Medical Device / Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of FDA and ISO regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools.
• Familiarity with FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and root cause analysis tools.
• Required Dutch as native language
• Ability to effectively communicate highly technical information in English and Dutch (understanding, reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.

Work location

Onsite: in Peer and it is allowed after internal training to work ONE day/week from home.
