Context :

We are looking for a Packaging and Device Scientist to join our Devices & Delivery Systems Science team within the Pipeline Devices & Delivery Systems organization. This essential role covers the local/regional scope and involves the development and management of methods and technologies supporting drug delivery device and packaging projects, including both primary and secondary packaging components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate innovative packaging methodologies while ensuring safety and compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze and identify regulatory gaps between global and Chinese pharmacopoeial texts, assessing how differences may impact our methodologies and product compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of pharmacopoeial texts and regulatory standards, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including material safety and packaging development, to align on strategy and regulatory alignment.
  • Coordinate project management activities to ensure resource allocation, task definition, and timeline adherence for packaging and device projects.
  • Provide guidance and supervision of laboratory and research activities, ensuring quality and compliance (GxP) standards.
  • Present results, share insights, and contribute to ongoing improvement in device and packaging processes.

Profile :

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (Master’s or Ph.D.) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a GxP-regulated environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging and device technologies and pharmacopoeial regulations.
  • Proven ability to analyze, understand, and compare pharmacopoeial texts, particularly with respect to Chinese and international standards.
  • Critical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying regulatory requirements and innovative solutions for packaging.
  • Quality-oriented mindset with a strong foundation in compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Language skills: Fluent in English; French proficiency is an asset.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional critical thinking abilities, with a capacity for analyzing complex regulatory information.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for presenting findings and making informed recommendations.
