You will work with the leadership of our European geographies as well as with the leadership of our sub-industries and functional areas. You will be an integral part of the Global Banking & Securities practice team working and collaborate closely with the global directors of practice strategy, operations and capabilities as well as practice managers across sub-industries, functions and regions. What You’ll Do

You will be the chief strategy officer and chief operations officer of the European Banking practice.
You will help shape the agenda for the practice and drive/track overall progress, convene leadership/OpCo meetings and draft internal communications. You will counsel and support European Banking leaders (e.g. prepare and lead follow-ups from leadership meetings, articulate the practice priorities in health dialogues/strategy documents, help identify and resolve client service team composition issues or conflicts) and in general act as a thought partner for leaders on a wide range of topics. You will be an advocate for the Banking practice.
You will work closely with European Banking leaders to define a client strategy and to hold them accountable. You will drive special client initiatives and monitor overall client performance. You will support our client service, working closely with knowledge and research teams to ensure awareness and access to the best regional and global experts and materials needed and provide input to help shape client team strategies. You will build and leverage a network of internal and outside industry experts to provide leaders and teams with further perspectives and connection opportunities. As appropriate, you may also support client service teams directly in an area of your own expertise.
You will assist leaders in identifying client situations where the practice can deliver substantial, lasting value and develop/disseminate best-practice delivery approaches and service models. You will enable the practice to further open up its client aperture by identifying new potential client service spaces (institutions, geographies, topical themes). You will help build the reputation of the practice by helping develop appropriate communications.
Collaborating with sub-industries and our director of knowledge & capabilities, you will help shape and drive the practice’s knowledge agenda and ensure capture of best practice client cases. You will contribute to problem solving and structuring knowledge. You will facilitate the radiation of our knowledge via practice knowledge conferences. You will further work with the communications team on the region’s external agenda. Time permitting, you may contribute to a specific topic to develop/grow your expertise.
You will help ensure we have a strong European Banking community and help support/grow the talent pipeline and leadership capacity, in collaboration with our talent and practice managers. You will convene the European Banking team. You will collaborate with the learning team to tailor our global learning agenda to Europe as needed.
