The Electrification business unit is active in the segments energy transmission & distribution, wind energy, water & infrastructure, oil & gas, process industry with a wide range of products, systems and services in the field of low and medium voltage, automation and security technology. To join the team in Zaventem, we are looking for a Prevention Advisor. You will be reporting to the Service Manager, Electrification Distribution Solutions. The position is graded 15.

This position reports to

Service Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the management system and its procedures.
  • Ensuring that procedures are up to date and meet the highest standards.
  • Monitoring and implementing Belgian legislation in the field of safety and the environment.
  • Coordinating and implementing safety and environmental regulations from the ABB Group, often in an international context.
  • Carrying out internal VCA and ISO45001 audits.
  • Carrying out and supervising various external audits.
  • Providing various training courses in the field of safety, and evaluating the quality of their content.
  • Supporting and collaborating with the Prevention Advisor of the various divisions within ABB for the elaboration of improvement projects.
  • Analyzing accidents and incident reports.
  • Performing workplace inspections.
  • Developing and updating job risk analyses in consultation with the service team.

Your background

  • Bachelor/master’s or equivalent through experience.
  • A number of years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a large service organization.
  • Holding a Level 1 prevention advisor certificate.
  • Structured and precise in nature.
  • Good command of Dutch, French and English both spoken and written is a must.
  • Taking initiative and act pro-actively.
  • Team player who likes to take responsibility.
  • Good communication and social skills.
  • Experience with MS office.
