Your mission

As Process Development Engineer you will be in charge of the optimization and automation of the production process of routing and fixating optical fibres to a substrate. Your tasks would include:

  • Optimization and development of processes or methods
  • Develop an automation strategy and work closely together with a third party for equipment development
  • Solve problems in a structured manner, including the use of Design of Experiments
  • Define control strategies and process windows
  • Identify and implement additional requirements and new process and equipment designs in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Your experience

  • Master in Engineering (mechanical, mechatronic)
  • Industrial experience with automation systems and process development
  • Familiar with (mass) manufacturing principles
  • Interested in machine vision systems and materials sciences
  • Born problem-solver and detail-minded
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English
