What can you expect?

As a Product Manager, you are responsible for defining products and features that seamlessly combine a great user experience, business benefits and IOT technologies. You are a pragmatic negotiator with a technical background who is not scared of hands-on work. You can envision the best possible outcome, but you know that you can only deliver value if you can ship products on time with high quality to users.

In your role as Product Manager, your day will be filled with:

  • Manage the lifecycle end-to-end of product features
  • Design and validate solutions for customer problems.
  • Follow feature development end-to-end; provide guidance and feedback to engineers and designers; ensure everyone is aligned.
  • Test new product features in development environments and provide feedback to software and hardware developers.
  • Engage with stakeholders in two-way communication
  • Assist Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Marketing as the subject-matter expert for your area.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, learning material, demos, and marketing materials of product features.
  • Take into account the business impact, ROI , and other implications when taking important decisions
  • Define and write European (Horizon Europe, ESA) and Flemish (VLAIO) research projects.

What do we expect?

You’d fit well if you:

  • Have +5 years of experience in product management in digital products. Experience on IOT products (combining cloud, firmware and hardware) is a big plus.
  • Know how to bring structure to a complex product and translate the technical complexity to business stakeholders.
  • Know how to write user stories, manage a backlog, ... Agility has very few secrets for you. Experience with frequent deployment is considered a plus.
  • Know how to communicate ideas and opinions, and you can navigate and align multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are focused on problem-solving with attention to detail.
  • Are an open-minded team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
