As Customer Experience Manager (Product Manager), you understand the needs and challenges of the customers (players) across the consecutive stages of the customer journey. You devise a strategy to optimize the customer experience within the specific customer journey stage (domain) of your focus: Join & Leave, Play or Help & Protect. Besides the product strategy, you will evaluate the products, negotiate and evaluate external suppliers and report progress of the customer journey to C-level.

Your role

  • Develop a strategy for the experiences and products within your dedicated domain, translate it in a short-term road map for product improvements to offer players an even better playing experience and drive business results;
  • build and defend business cases on new opportunities, such as game development, process improvements, initiation of new suppliers etc.;
  • take charge of implementation of new games or suppliers in your domain;
  • define and gather business requirements for new features or bug fixes, and coordinate the implementation in close collaboration with product owners, technology and design teams, and the external suppliers;
  • guard the quality of the delivered features and fixes to ensure a great user experience;
  • set prioritization in your dedicated domain and negotiate these with your fellow CXMs and the product owners;
  • build sustainable relationships and negotiate fruitful collaborations with the external suppliers in your domain, and act as SPOC to these suppliers in case of commercial or technical issues and to ensure that the terms agreed in the SLAs are met;
  • use key analytics to evaluate experience and supplier performance, and present clear reporting about performance to management;
  • use a data-driven approach to analyze player behavior in order to build a balanced product portfolio;
  • actively collaborate, share ideas and elaborate effective approach with your fellow CXMs and report to the Head of Customer Experience;
  • share knowledge about your domain and other interesting learnings across the organization;
  • follow international market trends in product development and innovation for games within your domain of focus.

Your profile

  • Preferably a higher degree in economics, commercial sciences, marketing … or equivalent.
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in the entertainment or gaming industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of product development principles;
  • Outstanding communication skills, using appropriate language at all levels -both spoken (incl. presenting) and written (incl. reporting)- in English and Dutch.
  • Experienced in working according to Agile principles.
  • An innovative mindset, creative as well as rigorous with an eye for detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A good sense of urgency, excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • A team player with leadership skills who derives satisfaction from delivering results in close collaboration with others.
