We are looking to recruit a Production Manager for the MPU (Manufacturing Production Unit) New HAV, in Wavre. In this role, you will manage the activities and resources engaged in the production process and for their continuous optimization

You coordinate manpower targets, resources and skills. You evaluate capacities (employees and machines) necessary to the completion of the production plan.

You are also involved in the coordination of supply and demand.

Your Responsibilities

• You supervise/manage day to day production operations (purification and inactivation) and ensure adherence to production plan
• You lead a team of technicians/operators (< 15 FTE) and collaborate with production colleagues
• You are responsible for implementing the Operational Excellence Process in your area/ group, including TIER meetings, KPI definition and follow up, problem solving, etc.
• You ensure compliance of the operations with GMP and Authorities requirements. You monitor quality of the production in close collaboration with QC and take corrective actions when necessary
• You act as a key interlocutor in your discipline between the manufacturing Unit and other services (as BeEM (Belgium Engineering Maintenance)/ Supply / QC / QA / RA)
• You coordinate specific projects of improvement to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, security, and simplification
• You apply the recommended processes and anticipate potential improvements of the current processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management procedures
• You represent your activities in internal and external audits/inspections
• You organize and monitor performance progress efficiency of the facility through Key Performance Indicators related to Security, Quality, Budget and Delivery.
• You provide technical support , mentoring and coaching to direct reports in order support their day to day operations and difficulties

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Bio Engineering, Science-related (Chemistry, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment and in a supervisory role in GMP environment
• Experience in a leadership role (team of minimum 10 FTE i.e. experienced and autonomous technical profiles)
• You set direction, inspire and engage your team
• You onboard and develop your team members
• Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set
• Strong planification and organisational skills
• Able to adapt to changing assignments
• Good level of written and spoken English
