About the Team:
The core objectives of the Risk Management Scenario Analysis Team is to ensure that a consistent methodology and approach is used in stress scenarios across relevant activities within Risk Management – e.g., Capital and liquidity assessments, Recovery Planning and capital modelling and strategic analysis. The team is also responsible for steering the maturity and evolution of the end-to-end stress testing process, leveraging industry best practices and regulatory guidance, in order to ensure that Risk Management has regulatory compliant, industry standard capabilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Drawing from various sources, build an inventory of possible ‘moderate’ and ‘extreme but plausible’ stress scenarios that can inform a range of activities in Risk Management and the wider business (e.g. Capital & Liquidity assessments, Recovery Planing, Capital Modeling & strategic analyses.)
- Work across teams, divisions and locations to determine what inputs are required for each stress scenario and how these can be calibrated to ensure consistency across the various activities and that the stress scenarios take account of local specificities. This will specifically entail setting up and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, circulating and following up on minutes and actions.
- Prepare all necessary material for approval of stress scenarios by the relevant committees.
- Work with the established Regulatory Watch process to ensure that new regulations around stress scenarios are captured, assessed, and where required brought to the attention of relevant stakeholders.
- Contributing to and reporting on the continuous improvement and evolution of the end-to-end approach to stress testing.
- Working with data specialists in Risk Management, ensuring that the integrity of scenario analysis/stress testing outputs is supported as relevant.
- Ensure that relevant findings from the stress-testing process, are discussed with the relevant risk teams, logging any issues and followed up as necessary.
