Position: Service Engineer

Salary: € 35,000 – 45,000 (Negotiable)

Location: Mechelen, Belgium

Company: Start-up Japanese company

Office commuting: 0-1 day a week

Language: Business English and French or Dutch required

【Responsibility】Business trips 2 times a month by aircraft.*

To perform the technical work necessary to promote sales of company products (printing machines, printing peripherals) and to maintain these products following sales, working in accordance to the instructions of the service manager.
  • Installation of products
To visit client sites, install the product(s) purchased, provide operational guidance, and receive signature of acceptance certificate of the products.
  • Product maintenance and repair
To perform the work necessary for the maintenance and repair of the products sold by the company to the customer.
  • Work for sales event
To perform the necessary technical work at company-planned sales events. This includes product installation, demonstration, and withdrawal work.
  • Maintain showroom
To perform the necessary maintenance so that the machines installed in the showroom of the branch office can be always operated.
  • Product shipping work
Technical preparations and transfer of products from branch inventory, to ship onward to customer.
  • Receipt of inventory machines and trade-in products
Support of unloading and installation of inventory received/purchased by head office and local branch.
  • Travel to customer’s site in and out of Belgium
For the purposes mentioned above, employee may require travel to Belgium and abroad (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa).

【Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications】
  • Experience in Service Engineering with machinery or electrical products for 5 years
  • Able to have business trips 2 times a month by aircraft
  • Business English is a must, Business Dutch or French advantageous
  • Valid working visa in Belgium
  • Able to work proactively
