For its Finance department based in in the European Head office, (Belgium-Oudenaarde), Samsonite is currently looking for a result-driven Tax Accountant

(fixed term contract till end of January 2023)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Tax administration Europe
  • Assist in Transfer Pricing administration Europe
  • Accruals/prepayments related to tax
  • Withholding tax administration Europe
  • Preparation Tax declarations for Belgium, Netherlands and France
  • Preparation Tax packages Europe
  • Assistance in preparation of VAT declarations, IC listings and Intrastat
  • Backup customs administration

Additional requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Preferably familiar with SAP FI, COPA and BO environment
  • Multilingual with proficiency in English and Dutch
  • Demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
  • Be pro-active and show problem-solving skills
  • Be open-minded, good team player
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities with a strong focus on deadlines
  • Able to work independently
