The Euroclear IT GBS (Group Business Solutions) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Within GBS, the Corporate Support Applications team looks after the solutions used by our internal corporate teams such as Finance, HR, Risk, Audit, Compliance and Legal. The applications in scope are mostly packaged solutions from external vendors.

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Risk & Compliance roadmap team.

In the role of Technical Consultant you will act as Application Owner and will be the interface between the business and the different technology / infrastructure teams.

The role:

  • entails gaining a deep understanding of the application functionalities, ensuring adequate infrastructure is in place, managing installation and upgrades (up to doing some smaller installations yourself if appropriate).
  • will also require an important project management dimension and the coordination of different project teams (business and infrastructure) involved in the development/maintenance of applications.

Qualifications


Key responsibilities
:

  • Develop design specifications in line with the required business and operational requirements
  • Coordinate any application changes (eg: upgrades, migrations, SSO…) or associated infrastructure changes
  • Monitor the IT operations for the applications and ensure the level of service remains within expectations
  • Develop and maintain project plans and forecasts, including resource requirements, costs, risks
  • Define deliverables, assign their production to project team members and monitor their progress and quality
  • Lead the risk, issue and change control processes for assigned projects and track action items
  • Control and monitor the progress of projects, reporting to IT Management and to your sponsor
  • Ensure sufficient knowledge shared within the team to maintain the applications and raise any issues when this is not the case
  • Investigate software problems and coordinate problem resolution with software vendors and infrastructure teams

Experience:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree in IT and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Project management experience (ideally 3 years)
  • You have installed and/or coordinated the installation of several business applications in a corporate context (including working with external vendors)
  • You have exposure to applications using different infrastructure landscapes and working with infrastructure teams to fulfil the requirements of the application.
