Public Affairs Manager BeLux
The Public Affairs Manager BeLux is responsible to manage AB InBev’s relationship with the government at all BeLux political levels, business federations and other influential stakeholders. Focus on support of AB InBev’s long term priorities, commercial agenda and license to operate.

The role:
- Advocate the company’s interests towards political stakeholders, government authorities, in business federations, NGO’s, etc. Both preparing stakeholder meetings for leadership and leading the discussions.
- Build and protect the license to operate in BeLux, by implementing a Public Affairs strategy, in close collaboration with External Communications and corporate reputation lead. The three corporate affairs pillars (External Communications, corporate reputation and Public Affairs) should reinforce each other
- Proactively identify opportunities, with all departments, for the company in the regulatory field that enhance its competitive position
- Anticipate regulation with a negative impact on company performance and devise strategies and campaigns to avert such competitive threats
- Prepare and update public affairs tools: position papers, company statements, fact sheets, Q&A’s, presentations, stakeholder mappings, etc.
- Organise company visits for external stakeholders
- Work closely with European and global teams to learn and share best practices to protect the license to operate
- Masters-level education or equivalent experience
- 2 to 5-years-experience in corporate affairs in an agency or in-house role, preferably within FMCG / or 2 to 5-years-experience in a Belgian political environment
- Solid business acumen through education or experience
- Strong communication skills and a coalition building – trustworthy and professional in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Aligned with AB InBev company culture
- Stress resistant
- Excellent organizational talent, proactive and hands-on. Let’s make it happen-mentality
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required
