Amazon is looking for a smart, ambitious individual to join our EU Public Policy team based in Brussels. The role has a very broad scope and will require an individual who is good at communicating across functional teams.

  • Providing support for Amazon’s position development, monitoring and research on a broad range of policy issues such as the Digital Single Market, sustainability or consumer protection.
  • Assisting with implementing Amazon’s EU engagement plan, scheduling and preparing documents for meetings with EU policy-makers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Public Policy team in working with Amazon’s business teams to ensure alignment between business and policy goals.
  • Assisting in the organisation of public policy events.
  • Organising and co-ordinating knowledge sharing within the team and beyond it.

Basic Qualifications
  • You are a recent graduate in Law, Politics, or Social Sciences, ideally with a focus on the European Union.
  • You are a native or native-level English speaker and enjoy drafting and editing. Fluency in German, French and other European languages is an advantage.
  • You must have the right to work in the country you are applying for.
Preferred Qualifications
  • You enjoy learning by doing and working independently, are able to prioritize your time and support multiple projects at a given time.
  • You have keen attention to detail, people call you “perfectionist” and you are proud of that. You see things through to the end, iron out the wrinkles and ensure everything works well.
  • Amazon is looking for candidates with a policy background and/or international experience.
  • Previous experience in public affairs consultancies, trade associations, corporate representations or in the EU institutions as well as sound understanding of EU policy-making processes is a plus.
