For our office in Lommel we are looking for a Quality Manager

Job Overview: As a Quality Manager you are responsible for the integrated quality and traceability of the production process and the products. You will also guide and follow up internal and external audits. In addition, you will advise and take operational decisions regarding quality and manage quality-specific master data. Finally, you will also research and develop new methods, processes and technologies to improve overall quality.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties

Maintain, monitor, evaluate and improve the quality management system on site in accordance with legislation, BRC, HACCP & Company standards and customer requirement.

Point of contact in the workplace regarding quality

Prepare all product specifications as well as packaging regulations.

Develop quality procedures, adjust them and check their application.

Work with departmental personnel to continually improve product and processes.

Assists with trials and studies performed on production floor.

Has a working knowledge of appearance and dimensional items and the ability to make decisions based on that knowledge and customer requirements.

Participates and follows up on assigned corrective/preventative action meetings including root cause analysis.

Manage calibrations and validations and ensure that the quality documentation remains up-to-date

Coordinate the follow-up of process parameters and quality within the entire flow from raw material to product and you guarantee the constant quality of the end products

Handle complaints in consultation with all stakeholder and responsible for product checks in the context of complaint handling and complaint handling.

Analyze trends and implement improvement actions in case of product or process deviations.

Coach and train quality and production employees to sharpen quality awareness and further develop their skills

Follow-up of internal and external audits (including BRC, HACCP,…)

Contribute to the optimization of our processes and costs, while guaranteeing the quality image and the service to the customers

Report directly to the QHSE Manager and functionally to the Operations Director

Experience and Qualifications :

Bachelor degree in Quality Management

Have previous experience of quality control processes in plastic injection moulding.

Have experience of performing measurements and testing.

Good communication skills.

Be confident with the ability to influence others.

Be proactive, tenacious and persistent.

Proven ability to drive results with resilience.

Able to deal with multiple projects and competing priorities.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand details and apply to big picture concepts.

Be organized, structured and methodical with a passion for good administration and record keeping.

Have a good level of computer literacy, be able to use Outlook and Excel, Word.
