Location: Schiphol or Gouda (NL), Vilvoorde (BE) or York (UK) -Role can be hybrid with a mixture of Home and site based working
The Chemical Regulatory Labelling Specialist/ Safety Data Sheet Author will ensure compliance with chemical regulations (ECHA, KKDIK, UK ECHA), product compliance, hazard communication and customer documentation. The main purpose of the role is to collate regulatory information from different sources relating to Chemical Products Cargill manufacture, ensuring these are compiled correctly and accessible in the event of regulatory or customer audits. The hazard communication specialist will use this data and follow standard operating procedures to ensure the company’s SAP EHS system and all associated outputs are kept up to date and in compliance. The role will partner with different internal Cargill teams and external contacts.
Key Accountabilities
- Collate data on Cargill Chemical Products from internal sources and suppliers, inputting this information into an SAP database
- Authoring hazard communication documents such as labels and SDSs in line with global regulatory requirements.
- Ensure product safety / hazard information is easy to access and kept up to date to ensure compliance with chemical regulations and customer audits.
- Independently analyze data related to chemical regulations to ensure completeness.
- Support process standardization to ensure the chemical data process is carried out in the most efficient way possible.
- Partner with other regulatory and product stewards to coordinate hazard communication requirements.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to the rest of the Industrial Chemical Regulatory Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific subject
- Experience in Regulatory Labelling / Safety Data Sheet authoring.
- Analysing Hazard classification data from multiple sources including regulatory agencies
- Experience with regulatory monitoring and scientific data tools
- Fluency in English – Verbal and Written
- Experience with SAP EHS
