Responsibilities

As a contractor working under Finalyse umbrella, you help our clients ensuring that risks inherent to the Insurer/Bank’s activity are identified, assessed, treated, monitored and reported appropriately.

More precisely, you assist our clients in the modelling of their risks: credit risk, market risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk and operational risk, from model design to model implementation, while using the most advanced technologies or software packages. You will also participate in enhancing risk value chains and streamlining risk processes.


Your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Participate to or lead engagements of our Risk Advisory practice in the quantitative area for our banking and insurance clients
  • Participate to model validation assignments and provide our clients with adequate recommendations to improve their models and related processes
  • Play the role of interface between the business parties and the technical team and translate business requirements into detailed business specifications for IT
  • Participate to the implementation of various risk tools or solutions
  • Develop & automate the production of risk & regulatory reportings
  • Act as subject matter expert, business or functional analyst in different risk domains (credit, market, ALM, liquidity, operational)

Must Have Requirements
  • You have an MA or MSc in economics, physics, mathematics, IT or related fields;
  • An advanced degree in finance and/or a certification like CFA, FRM, PRM is a distinct advantage;
  • You already have 5 to 20 years of experience in risk and a good understanding of how risk models, data and processes interact in risk management either in the banking or insurance area;
  • You have proven experience in one of the following scripting languages: Python, R, VBA;
  • You are familiar with BI and statistical platforms like SAS, Tableau, Qlickview, Business Objects;
  • You are open to travel inside Western Europe.

Nice To Have Requirements
  • You are an advanced user of risk-centric software e.g. Moody’s, SAS, Wolters Kluwer (OneSumX for Finance);
  • Knowledge of standard banking/insurance software solutions (Temenos, Avaloq, Moses, Olympic, SAP...) is a distinct advantage.
