We want to strengthen our internal Practice Protection team at Zaventem airport by recruiting a Risk Officer – Experienced Senior or Manager level.

In a professional environment, risk management is about the timely identification of possible pitfalls that may negatively impact the Deloitte brand and reputation. In this way actions can be taken to avoid or control these situations. Each of us play a vital role in ensuring effective risk management.

  • Support the Practice Protection Group in the execution of the Quality and Risk Strategy by participating in Quality and Risk projects and initiatives
  • Advise and support the Central Risk Director as an internal specialist and trusted advisor in an expert area where you execute and support its development in your daily operations
  • Handle complex cases and queries, understand your stakeholders and the business environment, have an investigative mindset to find solutions and build a network to support you
  • Manage the teams’ projects, coördinate, monitor and report on the teams progress. Prepare, and organize reports and meetings. Keep close contact with stakeholders and ensure follow up of agreed actions. Actively suggest and support on improvement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and quality. Work with different teams, different experts and different business units
  • Identify new topics of interest, emerging risks, regulatory developments, ect for which you propose and develop adequate response
  • Be leading in the contribution to the teams’ reputation, network and stakeholders through credibility and expertise and adopt a customer and service oriented attitude.
  • Support others by acting as an example within your job and supporting them as a mentor (showing best practices on how to approach tasks and offer help where necessary and help them cope with difficulties)
  • You work with and monitor the risk officers and administrators and will take up a coaching / mentor role

Let’s Talk About You

We are looking to strengthen our team with a new colleague that has experience and expertise in risk management frameworks, internal or external audit, data security, business resilience, ISO certification programs, or any other relevant experience.

  • Master degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Fluent in English and Dutch or French
  • Excellent Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience and expertise in risk management frameworks, internal or external audit, data security, business resilience, ISO certification programs, or any other relevant experience
  • Critical mindset with eye for the details that make the difference
  • Eager to learn, explore, discover new topics and able to turn theory into practice
  • Able to communicate (orally/written) clearly and efficiently
  • Solution driven and client minded
  • Strong in time and project management
  • Team player, reliable, flexible, co-operative, respectful
  • Knowledge, understanding and interest in “digitalisation” and its linkage to risk is a plus
