YOUR CHALLENGES AS SALES ENGINEER …
As a Sales Engineer at Spantech you manage technical sales projects from A to Z. Whilst following up on incoming leads you will also actively look for new opportunities and identify relevant prospects. You are responsible for the complete sales cycle and offer tailor-made technical solutions to your clients.
You will be working on the cutting edge of commercial, business development, project management and engineering, while crossing the boundaries of each discipline to gain new insights and learn how to innovate.
You report to the Commercial Director and work together with the rest of the team to grow the business internationally. Together with the technical and operations departments, you take part in every step of the sales process (business development, technical study, sales offer, logistics and planning, after sales, etc) while always keeping an eye on rentability and client satisfaction.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR…
As ideal candidate you have the following profile:
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- University degree or equivalent through experience.
- 2- 5 years of work experience, e.g., corporate traineeship
- Experience in a sector like (steel) construction, temporary structure building or industry is a plus
- Affinity with technical challenges and a willingness to follow up projects from start to finish
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of Excel

- Autonomous self-starter and result-driven with sense of responsibility to take ownership of a mission, work in an independent manner, translate ideas into actions and work in a hands-on manner to deliver required outputs within agreed deadlines.

- A team player, relationship builder and good communicator who listens and can work well with both colleagues and external partners;
- Strategic with technical insight, able to write detailed invoices with a correct margin for all components that need to be added to deliver the ideal solution to your client;
- Good communicator and clear presenter who can bring messages across to others;
- Relational and adaptable to easily establish contacts and build relationships of trust with prospects, clients and persons from within the company;
- Professional and integer in representing the company to the outside world.
