Sales Manager Defense & Security - UK
Ruggedized Military Equipment (Submarines, Naval ships, Vehicles, UAV)
As a member of the international sales team, the Sales Manager Defense & Security will develop and manage our customer base consisting of end users and system integrators in the Defense Industry. Region of focus will be UK.
You will focus on system integrators like Lockheed Martin, Thales, General Dynamics, British Aerospace,… with Government/Defense customers to develop the business of Ruggedized Military Equipment: computers, consoles and displays for submarines, naval ships, tanks, vehicles and UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
Your Responsibilities
- The Sales Manager is responsible for successfully implementing the ScioTeq sales strategy for the region as well as establishing business development and capture plans to develop a long term and sustainable growth path.
- You will contact and develop relationships with all buying influences: Technical Buyers, Sales teams of the customer and the Engineers at the customer site.
- Our technical staff of product managers for deep technical questions will support you.
- You will build relationships with industrial players related to Defense and Security to identify industry trends, market opportunities and assess competitive products.
Profile
- Educational background preferably in engineering or business economics.
- Experience with the Europeans aerospace and defense landscape (standards and specifications, government type contracts) is a definite plus.
- You understand complex sales cycles (different buying influences involved in a deal) in an international technical B2B environment.
- Demonstrate ability to manage long sales cycles and close deals. Effective networking skills and capability to build strong customer relationships at all levels of organizational hierarchy.
- Languages: proficiency in English.
- Ability to travel as required, up to 30-50%.
