For our client we are looking for a GL Accountant in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe. You have the chance to gain experience in an international company.

Job description:

You will become part of the Finance Department which consists out of 9 people (a Finance manager, 4 controllers, a team leader accounting, 3 accountants) in an international environment. The operational part of the accounting (A/P, A/R & G/L) is outsourced to a shared service center in India.

Mission In collaboration with the team leader accounting your responsibilities are:

• You manage the follow up of the purchase-to-pay tool in collaboration with SSC.
• You are monitoring the weekly pay cycles delivered by the SSC.
• You participate in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing with the collaboration of the SSC.
• You are managing the billing processes for some legal entities
• You are monitoring the account reconciliations of some legal entities
• You assist in the production of the monthly reporting to the mother company.
• You have a solide experience with the annual obligations of a company: audit, annual accounts, tax declarations (preparation, tax return,..).
• You give your insights or experience to us to optimize our procedures

For this job, we are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in Accountancy
• You have more than 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a multinational organization in collaboration with a shared service center.
• Excellent MS Office skills (familiar with Excel – pivot – vlookup - Macro’s)
• Experience in Oracle application system is an asset (Oracle Cloud even better)
• Experience in People Soft is a nice to have
• Excellent communication skills especially in English/French/Dutch
• A team player, open-minded, transparent,..
• A strong analytical mindset and a result driven approach
